LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - John Mustard scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period as the No. 10 Providence College men's hockey team defeated St. Lawrence, 2-1, at the Adirondack Winter Invitational at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y. With the win, Providence earned its 10th victory of the season.

NOTES
- Tanner Adams got Providence on the board first for the second time this weekend as he finished off a strong net-drive from John Mustard for his team-high eighth goal of the season at 3:21 of the opening period.
- The Friars outshot the Saints by a 14-5 margin in the first period.
- Tyler Cristall tied the game up for the Saints at 1-1 just 2:23 into the second period.
- Providence killed off both St. Lawrence power-play opportunities in the second period to keep the game tied going into the third period.
- At 8:51 of the third period, Adams found Mustard streaking down the slot and he slid a forehand shot through the legs of Basse while being tripped to put the Friars up 2-1. It was Mustard's fourth tally of the season.
- Mustard appeared to give the Friars a 3-1 lead on a late power-play opportunity but the goal was waived off after a St. Lawrence challenge for goaltender interference.
- Providence closed the game out with a strong defensive effort in the final minutes.
- Adams has scored in three-consecutive games.

- Friar captain Chase Yoder appeared in his 150th career game for the Friars on Saturday.
