TROY, N.Y. - Lynden Breen had a hat trick and added an assist for four points as the #5 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 6-0 win over the RPI Engineers at Houston Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Charlie Russell scored midway through the first period - with Breen assisting on the eventual game-winning goal - for a 1-0 lead at the break. Breen then scored 25 seconds into the second period for a 2-0 lead after two.
Breen scored two goals in the first six minutes of the third period to complete his hat trick. Harrison Scott and Frank Djurasevic then capped Maine's scoring with power play goals.
