NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Merrimack Women's Hockey Team fell short in the SMASHVILLE Women's Hockey Showcase final as they were defeated by the Clarkson Golden Knights by a score of 3-0 on Saturday night.
Merrimack (5-10-1, 2-6-1): 0, Clarkson (13-3-1, 5-1-0 ECAC): 2
In the first, Calli Hogarth made 15 saves but Clarkson would break through for one goal, scoring at 10:55 of the period.
In the second period, Hogarth made 14 more saves, but the Golden Knights would still score twice more, scoring at 9:58 and 18:42 of the frame.
In the third, the Warriors would gain a lifeline with a five on three powerplay, but their best chance went narrowly wide. Clarkson would add the game's final goal on a powerplay of their own in the final minute.

- Calli Hogarth made 37 saves despite the loss.
- Payten Evans and Abby Poitras led the team in blocks with three each.
