DURHAM, N.H. - The #5/6 University of Maine men's ice hockey team earned a 3-1 road win at rival New Hampshire on Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle was scoreless after the first period and then UNH took a 1-0 lead at the 7:17 mark, scoring a 5-on-3 power-play goal.
Lynden Breen got the Black Bears on the board three minutes later and then Owen Fowler doubled the lead three minutes after that. The Black Bears withstood the Wildcats' late push and Frank Djurasevic sealed the 3-1 win with a short-handed, empty-net goal.
