BOSTON - Two power-play goals for the Northeastern women's hockey team proved to be the difference in a 2-0 victory over the Maine Black Bears on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena. The Huskies earned the weekend sweep over the Black Bears with the shutout victory, which marked freshman goaltender Lisa Jönsson's third shutout in four games.

- Scoreless until 27 seconds remaining in the second period, Northeastern finally cashed in on the power-play with a goal from senior Taze Thompson to claim a 1-0 lead. Freshman Morgan Jackson and junior Jules Constantinople picked up assists on the play.

- The Huskies doubled up on power-play goals with senior Skylar Irving's tally at the 12:15 mark of the third period to bring the final score to 2-0. Irving's goal was assisted by senior Tory Mariano and freshman Tuva Kandell.

- Jönsson finished with 31 saves for the third shutout of her career. This marks the third-straight game she has made over 30 saves.

- Sophomore Rylie Jones tied her career-high with five blocks to lead all players.

Northeastern is off next weekend and will resume play against the No. 14/13 Boston College Eagles on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
