BOSTON - Julia Pellerin scored one minute, 16 seconds into overtime, to help the No. 11 Boston College women's hockey team top No. 14 Boston University, 3-2 on Friday evening.
Kate Ham got the Eagles on the board five minutes into the start of the first period. BC held on to the 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
In the second period, BU tied the game at 1-1 during a power-play attempt. Molly Jordan gave BC a 2-1 lead a minute later, scoring off the rebound of Gaby Roy's shot. A minute later, the Terriers tied the game at 2-2. Neither side could break the tie in the second period.
Both sides traded chances in the final frame, with neither team being able to score, sending the game into overtime.
In overtime, Julia Pellerin had the game-winning goal to give BC its seventh straight win. The Eagles snapped BU's nine-game unbeaten streaking.
