DURHAM, N.H. - Senior captain Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) and senior assistant captain Shea Verrier (Reading, Mass.) both recorded a goal and two assists to lead the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team to Friday night's 7-3 victory against Providence College at the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.
Seven different Wildcats scored a goal with Marina Alvarez (Center Moriches, N.Y.), Sarah Boucher (Burlington, Ontario), Andi Calderone (Kirkland, Quebec), Alyson Hush (Scarborough, Ontario) and Courtney Lilley (Wakefield, Mass.) netting UNH's other goals.
Alvarez was the other 'Cat who recorded both a goal and an assist.
Sophomore goalie Sedona Blair (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was credited with 27 saves.
PC starting goalie Taya Currie exited the game at 14:04 with the Friars trailing 4-1; she was credited with one save. Olivia Klunowski went the rest of the way and made 13 saves. Sarah Davies, Reichen Kirchmair and Audrey Knapp scored the PC goals.
UNH improves to 6-4-1 overall and 3-4-0 in Hockey East while Providence is 5-6-0, 2-5-0.

- UNH returns to action Nov. 9 (3 p.m.) against Providence College at Schneider Arena.

FIRST PERIOD
- The Wildcats struck first at 1:56 on Hush's one-time from the top of the crease off the pass from behind the net by Sydney Leonard (St. Bonifacius, Minn.).
- The Friars came back with a goal from Sarah Davies at 6:19 to tie the score.
- With a snipe from the top of the right circle, Alvarez scored her first goal of the season to make the score 2-1 at 11:15. Juodikis, with the pass from the left corner, was credited with the assist.
- Twenty-four second later, Sara Boucher (Burlington, Ontario) went top shelf from the right circle with assists to Brooke Hammer (Commerce Township, Mich.) and Chavonne Truter (Uxbridge, Ontario) to make the score 3-1.
- The 'Cats extended the lead to 4-1 at 14:04 when Juodikis' shot went between Currie's legs. Verrier, who slipped the pass from the right wing down low to Juodikis, was credited with the assist.
SECOND PERIOD
- With a penalty on the 'Cats at 1:23 Blair stopped all four shots that came her way to backstop a successful penalty kill.
- Freshman Courtney Lilley (Wakefield, Mass.) advanced from behind the net and jammed the puck inside the left post to score her second goal of the season at 9:35 and give UNH a 5-1 lead. Addy Finn (Stillwater, Minn.) and Hannah Rodgers (Apex, N.C.) set up the tally.
- Providence strikes back at 12:54 on a goal from Knapp and again at 16:48 on a goal by Kirchmair to bring the score to 5-3.
THIRD PERIOD
- During an early power play for the 'Cats. With Juodikis providing a screen in front of the net, Calderone snapped a wrister from the top of the right circle inside the near post to extend the advantage to 6-3 at 1:24.
- Verrier won a faceoff in the right circle in which she regained possession after the puck went off Juodikis' skates and then beat Klonowski glove side into the upper-right corner to give UNH a 7-3 lead at 5:26.
UNH NOTEBOOK
- Verrier and Juodikis both had season highs of three points and matched their career highs of two assists.
- Verrier also led the team in faceoff wins with 15.
- Juodikis has 20 career multiple-point games - one this season - and three career multiple-assist games.
