WORCESTER, Mass. - The No. 10 ranked UConn women's hockey team shut out the Holy Cross Crusaders, 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Hart Center Rink. The Huskies remain unbeaten in Hockey East play, improving to 5-0 in conference and 6-4 overall.

UConn goaltender Megan Warrener made her fifth start of the season for the Huskies. Warrener earned her first shutout of the season, making 15 saves in the win.

UConn opened the scoring in the first period off the stick of junior forward Kyla Josifovic, her second goal of the season, giving the Huskies an early 1-0 lead.

Freshman forward Claire Murdoch doubled the Huskies lead in the second period off the power play. Murdoch continues to turn heads as she leads the Huskies with five goals and three assists for a team leading eight points in her first ten collegiate games.

UConn closed out a dominant second period up 2-0, recording 14 shots on goal to Holy Cross's one shot on goal.

Warrener came up big for the Huskies in the third period making eleven of her fifteen saves in the final frame, closing out the Huskies second shutout win of the season.
