PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Boston University women's ice hockey team (8-3-0, 6-1-0 HE) earned its seventh consecutive win with a 3-2 result over Providence (5-5-0, 2-4-0 HE) on Saturday afternoon at Schneider Arena.

In the final two minutes of the game, BU scored an empty net goal and Providence found the back of the net with an extra attacker on the ice, but the Terriers ultimately prevailed for the 3-2 win.
Juniors Luisa Welcke and Clara Yuhn scored with Welcke finding the back of the net on BU's second and third goals. Senior goaltender Callie Shanahan made 21 saves for her sixth win of the season.
