BOSTON, Mass. - Freshman Cole Eiserman scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season, but the No. 5 Boston University men's ice hockey team fell to No. 11 Michigan, 5-1, on Friday night at Agganis Arena.
Eiserman's power-play marker in the second stanza gave BU (4-2-0) a 1-0 lead after two periods, but Michigan (4-2-1) fought back with five goals in the final frame to secure the victory.
Freshman Cole Hutson had the primary helper on Eiserman's goal while senior goaltender Mathieu Caron made 30 saves and picked up a secondary assist.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caron made nine of his 30 saves in the first period to keep the game scoreless.

On the ensuing breakaway, the reigning Hockey East Rookie of the Month shot up the slot and went five-hole on Logan Stein (22 saves) for his fifth tally of the season.
- Caron one of several highlight-reel saves on a Michigan breakaway early in the third period to keep the Terriers ahead, but the Wolverines scored twice in less than two minutes to take their first lead of the night.
- Michigan added two more goals on the power play, including one on a 5-on-3, and then tacked on an empty-netter to end the contest.
