ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team battled to a 3-2 win over Providence College on Saturday night at Alfond Arena.

Senior defender Courtney Colarullo scored the game-winning goal for Maine on a shot from the point with about six and a half minutes left in the game. Sam Morrison won the faceoff to earn the assist on the game-winner.

Sophomore Lila Shea and senior Alyssa Wruble scored for Maine in the second period to give the team a momentum shift after Providence scored one goal in the first period. Lila Shea's goal was the first of her career.

Jamie Grinder, Mikayla Boarder, Stephanie Jacob and Courtney Colaraullo each tallied one assist.

Julia Bachetti made 32 saves for Maine, and the team killed off four penalties successfully to hold the Friars off.
