ORONO, Maine - Five different Black Bears scored as the #11/10 University of Maine men's ice hockey team topped Army, 5-0, in an exhibition game on Saturday afternoon at Alfond Arena.
An Oskar Komarov deflection late in the first period gave Maine a 1-0 lead heading into the first break.
The Black Bears then scored two goals in the first 65 seconds of the second for a 3-0 lead. After Taylor Makar roofed one from the right circle, Sully Scholle picked off a pass and finished from the slot. Anthony Calafiore and Owen Fowler both added goals in the final five minutes of the frame for a 5-0 lead after two.
Neither team scored in the third period.
