NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Fifth year Katy Knoll scored the overtime game-winner to deliver the Northeastern women's hockey team a 2-1 victory over the No. 14/13 Yale Bulldogs on Tuesday night. Fifth year netminder Gwyneth Philips posted 45 saves for a season-high.
- Yale struck first, with a goal 13:23 into the contest. Neither team would find the goal in the second and the two teams skated into the third frame with the score at 1-0 in the Bulldogs' favor.
- Sophomore Jules Constantinople tied the game at 1-1 for the Huskies in the third period. Constantinople's tally was assisted by freshman Rylie Jones and junior Skylar Irving.
- The two teams ended the third period knotted at 1-1 to head to overtime. Knoll ended the game 3:16 into OT to deliver the Huskies their first win of 2024 and second straight OT victory. Irving posted her second assist of the game on the goal.
- Philips' 45 saves are a season-high and she owns a 2-0-0 record in her career at Ingalls Rink.
Northeastern will return to Hockey East play to take on the Holy Cross Crusaders on Friday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m.
