STORRS, Conn. - The Boston College women's ice hockey team came away with a two-game series victory against No. 15 UConn with a score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
UConn opened the scoring up in the first period off a goal from Kathryn Stockdale at 12:18. The Eagles responded with two consecutive goals in the second period for a 2-1 lead. Julia Pellerin started the scoring for the Eagles, on a breakaway chance during a UConn power play at 9:25. Julia Pyne gave Boston College the lead off a power play goal at 1:48 left in the second period.
