NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- Graduate students Chloé Aurard and Maureen Murphy each posted multi-point games to lead the No. 7 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 3-1 victory over the Merrimack Warriors on Friday afternoon at Lawler Rink.

- Just 2:50 into the game, Aurard took the puck in one on five and gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Murphy and senior Megan Carter picked up the assists.

- Senior Katy Knoll doubled the Huskies lead with the eventual game-winner at the 4:50 mark. Knoll's goal came on the power-play and senior Peyton Anderson and Murphy each tallied an assist. Merrimack then cut its deficit to 2-1 with a goal from Sophie Melsness.

- After the first period, both Northeastern and Merrimack were held off the scoresheet until graduate student Maude Poulin-Labelle put in an empty-net goal at the 18:13 mark of the third frame to seal the Huskies' victory, 3-1. Aurard picked up her second point of the night off an assist on Poulin-Labelle's goal.

- The Huskies outshot the Warriors 43-12. Murphy led the way with nine shots on goal.

- Senior goaltender Gwyneth Philips made 11 saves in her NCAA-leading 22nd win of the season.

The Huskies will continue their road swing at No. 11/12 Vermont on Saturday, Jan. 21 with a 4 p.m. puck drop.
