NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - The Merrimack men's hockey team trailed early in the game and were down two goals through two periods, but battled back with two third period goals to force a tie with the Yale Bulldogs on Friday night.

Yale grabbed the early lead, as they scored on a turnover just under two minutes into the opening period.

The Warriors would tie the game back up at the 15:36 of the first when Will Calverley would score on a Filip Forsmark rebound.

In the second period, Yale would strike twice in eight minutes to extend the lead to two and the Warriors continued to pressure but we're denied time after time.

In the third, the Warriors would cut the lead back to one when Christian Felton scored after Will Calverley's initial shot went off the post.

Will Calverley would then add his third point of the evening when he scored a goal from the corner to tie the game at three.

In overtime, both teams had their chances including a save off the goal line on the Warriors, but neither team could score the winning goal.
