BOSTON- With a four-point night, graduate student captain Alina Mueller led the No. 8/7 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-0 shutout victory over Boston College on Friday afternoon at Matthews Arena.
- After a scoreless first frame, Mueller opened the scoring with a slapshot that made it past BC's Abigail Levy to put the Huskies up 1-0 in the second. The captain's tally was assisted by sophomore Lily Yovetich and graduate student Chloé Aurard.
- Knoll doubled the Huskies' lead to 2-0 in the second frame with her first tally of the day. Mueller picked up her first assist of the day on the goal.
- In the third frame, Knoll got her second of the day, this time on the power-play, to push the Northeastern lead to 3-0. Mueller and Aurard each recorded their second assists of the day on the goal.
- Mueller then closed out the scoring and brought the final score to 4-0 with her second goal of the day. Aurard and Knoll each notched assists on the goal.
- Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips posted her fourth shutout of the season with 15 saves against the Eagles.
- Northeastern outshot BC, 43-15 and Yovetich led all Huskies with four blocks.
Northeastern and Boston College will close out the home-and-home series on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. with a game at Conte Forum.
