How it happened:

Merrimack grabbed the advantage in the first, when Slava Demin's laserbeam beat the Boston College netminder at 8:42 of the frame.

Merrimack was unable to score on their two powerplay opportunities but also held the Eagles goalless during two of their own.

In the second, Merrimack would take advantage of a major penalty, and would add their second goal of the evening, as Filip Forsmark would tip the puck in at the top of the crease, off the initial shot from Zach Bookman.

After successful kills throughout the game and a few great saves by Hugo Ollas in those, the Eagles would finally get on the board at the 16 minute mark of the period and with that goal, the Warriors lead was cut in half.

As the third, as the stakes got higher so did the games intensity, with big hits and big chances coming from both sides, a Merrimack wrap around chance slid through the blue paint, and Ollas was able to keep the Eagles at bay.

Jordan Seyfert was able to wrap up the nights festivities on a goal on the top of crease to re extend the two goal lead with 2:42 to go.
