PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The No. 13 women's hockey team beat the University of New Hampshire, 2-1, on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Schneider Arena. Sara Hjalmarsson scored the game-winning goal with two seconds left in the third.


GAME FLOW & NOTES

-The Friars and Wildcats skated through first period scoreless. Providence outshot the Wildcats 13-7.

-New Hampshire's Kyla Bent scored the first goal of the day 2:33 into the second period during a power play.

-With 17 seconds left in the second, Reichen Kirchmair (Oakville, Ontario) converted on a power play to tie up the game, 1-1. Lily Hendrikson (Edina, Minn.) and Ida Press (Uppsala, Sweden) assisted Kirchmair on the goal.
