ORONO, Maine- Graduate student Maureen Murphy tallied three assists to lead the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 6-1 victory over Maine on Friday night at Alfond Arena.

Graduate student Alina Mueller posted her 85th career assist in Hockey East play during the game, making her the new all-time career assist leader in league play.

- Senior Megan Carter started the scoring for the Huskies with her first of the year to give Northeastern a 1-0 lead headed into the second period. Freshman Alyssa Antonakis claimed her first collegiate point with an assist on the goal and junior Abbey Marohn extended her point-streak to seven games with the secondary assist.

- Graduate student Chloé Aurard got on the board in the middle of the second frame with assists from her linemates Mueller and Murphy.

- Maine then got a goal back in the second to bring the score to 2-1, before Mueller scored with just one minute remaining in the frame. Murphy collected her second assist of the night on the tally.

- The Huskies erupted for a three-goal third period with senior Katy Knoll scoring twice and freshman Lily Shannon closing out the scoring to push the final score to 6-1. Senior Peyton Anderson and graduate student Maude Poulin-Labelle assisted Knoll's first goal, while Murphy and Carter had the helpers on her second. Junior Molly Griffin had the lone assist on Shannon's goal.

- Senior netminder Gwyneth Philips posted 24 saves in her seventh win of the season.

The Huskies and Black Bears will close out two-game series tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m.
