BOSTON -- The No. 12/14 Northeastern Huskies took it to the end with the Boston College Eagles after finishing with a 3-3 tie in regulation. After three rounds, the Huskies took home the shootout win on Tuesday evening at Matthews Arena.

- In regulation, the Huskies kept themselves in the game on goals from Aidan McDonough, Matt DeMelis and Jack Hughes. With both teams going scoreless through overtime, Northeastern was victorious in shootout thanks to McDonough and Hughes.

- With four goals in the last four games, Aidan McDonough gave the Huskies an early 1-0 lead at the nine minute mark in the opening frame. As he lit the lamp for Northeastern, McDonough tallied his 50th career goal as a Husky. McDonough leads the team in goals (4) and is tied for first in points (7).

- As the Eagles took a 2-1 lead to start the second period before Matt DeMelis tallied his first goal of the season to tie the game. DeMelis, on the verge of his 100th career game, was assisted by Matt Choupani and Braden Doyle who both picked up their third points of the season.

- Halfway through the final period, and Boston College leading 3-2, Jack Hughes scored in the slot to eventually send the game into overtime. Hughes, with his first of the season, has now tallied three points in the last four games for the Huskies.

- Gunnarwolfe Fontaine has recorded seven points in the last four games, leading the team in assists (5) and tying McDonough for most points (7). In tonight's shootout win, Fontaine tallied two assists.

- In 64:53 minutes of play, Devon Levi finished with 30 assists as well as kept the Eagles scoreless through overtime and stopped two of three shootout opportunities. Levi is now 3-1-1 on the season.
