ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team extends their win streak to four straight after defeating LIU 4-3 on Friday, Oct. 14.

First Goal (1-0 Maine): The Black Bears would strike first with a power play goal from Ida Kuoppala. Elise Morphy and Emma Lange would each pick up an assist.

Second Goal (2-0 Maine): Maine would get their second goal also in the first period. Grace Heiting would put up some moves in front of the net to sneak the puck in past the goaltender. Ava Stevenson and Olivia King would each get an assist.

Third Goal (3-0 Maine): The third goal would come quickly after Maine's second goal. Morgan Trimper would get the assist on Cora Webber's goal, the first of her collegiate career.

Fourth Goal (4-0 Maine): The Black Bears would enter a 5-3 power play situation to set up their next goal. Grace Heiting would get her second goal of the game, her fifth of the season, for Maine's fourth goal. Heiting and Emma Lange would pass the puck back and forth before it made its way into the back of the net.

Fifth Goal (4-1 LIU): LIU would strike back in the second period with a goal from Sarah Rourke. Anya Weilandt and Mary Rachel Lenaeus would each pick up an assist.

Sixth Goal (4-2 LIU): The Sharks would score their next goal also in the second closely after their first goal. Megan Bouveur would get the goal and Anna Fairman and Jeannie Wallner.

Seventh Goal (4-3 LIU): LIU would manage to bring it within one in the third period with an unassisted goal by Bri Eid.

Tindra Holm would pick up 43 saves in net for the Sharks.

Jorden Mattison gathered 21 saves in net for the Black Bears.
