STORRS, Conn. - Behind 44 saves from Abigail Levy, the Boston College women's hockey team earned a 3-1 win over UConn on Friday night at the Mark Freitas Ice Forum. Natalie Tulchinsky, Caroline Goffredo and Abby Newhook found the back of the net for the Eagles.

The teams were scoreless through the first two periods before UConn struck first on the power play. The Eagles, though, responded with a pair of goals less than two minutes apart from Goffredo and then Tulchinsky. Newhook then added an empty-net goal with a minute to play.

GAME NOTES

- BC now holds a 44-22-10 record in the all-time series with UConn...the Eagles are 17-10-8 at Freitas Ice Forum...head coach Katie Crowley is 38-10-7 all-time against UConn.

- UConn held the 45-22 lead in shots on goal...BC went 0-for-4 on the power play while UConn was 1-for-6.
