BOSTON- Down 3-1 after the first period, the No. 3 Northeastern Huskies rallied back with five unanswered goals to take down the Boston University Terriers, 6-3, on Friday evening in Matthews Arena.
- Boston University scored two goals in the opening two minutes of the game to jump out to an early 2-0 lead.
- Chloé Aurard got one back on the power play for the Huskies, with a tip in front of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- With just over a minute left in the first frame, the Terriers picked off a pass in the Huskies' zone and buried it to take a 3-1 lead into the second.
- Captain Brooke Hobson scored the lone goal for either side in the second period to bring the Huskies back within one with the score at 3-2 headed into the final period.
- Northeastern answered the call with four goals in the final six minutes of the game to take the 6-3 victory. Maddie Mills tied the game at 3-3 on the power play and Katy Knoll scored the game-winner with under five minutes to play.
- Maureen Murphy added an empty-netter and Maddie Mills scored her second power play goal of the night with 12 seconds left to push the final score to 6-3.
- Alina Mueller and Skylar Fontaine each ended the night with two assists.
- Gwyneth Philips came on in relief in the second frame and posted 11 saves for her fifth win of the season.
- The win extended the Huskies unbeaten streak to 20 games and gave Northeastern the 2-1 Hockey East series edge over the Terriers.
