MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Jamie Engelbert recorded a natural hat trick and Patrick Moynihan registered four points as the No. 16 Providence College men's hockey team downed Bowling Green, 6-2, on day one of the 2021 Holiday Faceoff in Milwaukee, Wis. Providence will face either Wisconsin or Yale in tomorrow night's championship game.

NOTES - The Friars raced out to a 2-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes of play. Chase Yoder converted on a 2-on-1 feed from Matt Koopman just 1:26 into the contest. It was Yoder's fourth of the season and Riley Duran also earned an assist on the play.

- At 10:36, Kohen Olischefski deposited a centering pass from Ben Mirageas for his sixth goal of the season to give Providence a 2-0 lead.

- Taylor Schneider and Alex Barber scored less than three minutes apart to tie things up for the Falcons.

- The Friars were forced to kill off a long Bowling Green power play as Ben Mirageas was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for contact to the head at 18:24 of the first period.

- Providence killed off the major as Stauber make key stops throughout the second period to keep the game even.

- Engelbert began his scoring run at 18:43 of the second period, cleaning up a Moynihan rebound in the crease. Engelbert re-directed a Cam McDonald shot at 7:24 of the third period and completed his natural hat trick at 13:49 on the power play.

- Moynihan capped the scoring with his fourth point of the night after icing the game with an empty-net goal.

- The hat trick was the third of the season for the Friars (Poisson, Ford) and the first natural hat trick since Greg Printz accomplished the feat on Oct. 2, 2019 against Maine.

- Moynihan's four points were a career high for the junior. He now has two goals and six assists over his last three games

- Jaxson Stauber made 32 saves for his 14th win of the season
