ORONO, ME - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team came up short in their losing effort to the #9 Clarkson Golden Knights, 5-2.

FIRST GOAL (1-0 Clarkson): Clarkson's top line got the scoring going for the second afternoon in a row as Caitrin Lonergan netted her 10th goal of the season. Her score came off of assists by Jenna Goodwin (8) and Miranda Gaudet (1).

SECOND GOAL (2-0 Clarkson): The top line would continue its momentum as Gabirlle David netted her 12th goal of the season, fourth of the weekend to extend the Golden Knights lead. Her score came off of a feed from Lonergan (20) and Kirstyn McQuigge (5).

THIRD GOAL (2-1 Clarkson): Maine would chip into the lead with a score by Alyssa Wruble. Her third goal of the season came off of a self created chance when she stole the puck from a Clarkson defender and then went coast-to-coast and scored up and over the blocker of Michelle Pasiechnyk.

FOURTH GOAL (3-1 Clarkson): Haley Winn would get her team back in the scoring column as she scored her fourth of the season. Her score came off of a feeed from David (11) and Nicole Gosling (13).

FIFTH GOAL (3-2 Clarkson): Ida Kuoppala would get the Black Bears right back in the game however, as she scored just 24 seconds after the Winn goal. Her fourth of the year came as she deflected a slap-shot off of the stick of Olivia King (2).

SIXTH GOAL (4-2 Clarkson): David would net her 13th of the season, fifth of the weekend as she got free on a breakaway off of the feed from Olivia Hanson (6). Hanson got the puck from Staphanie Markowski (4).

SEVENTH GOAL (5-2 Clarkson): The Golden Knights would conclude their offensive night with a score by Jenna Goodwin. Her 6th of the season came off of a feed from Gosling (14) and Kristina Schuler (7).

Jorden Mattison would conclude the losing effort for the Black Bears with a 35 save performance.

Maine (6-10-1, 4-5-1 HE) is back into Hockey East play as Boston College comes to Alfond Arena for a weekend set on Friday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4.
