ORONO, ME - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team continues their win streak as it extends to four in a row as they defeat the Friars of Providence College, 3-2.

FIRST GOAL (1-0 Maine): Taylor Leech got the scoring going early for the Black Bears as she netted her fourth goal of the season, her second of the weekend. Her slap-shot came off of the feed by Morgan Trimper (3) who recieved the puck from Maddie Giordano (2).

SECOND GOAL (1-1): Providence would find the net just 35 seconds into the 2nd period as Caroline Peterson scored her second of the season. Her score came off of assists from Sara Hjalmarsson (1) and Hayley Lunny (4).

THIRD GOAL (2-1 Maine): Jennifer Costa would score her first goal as a Maine Black Bear to get the lead back for her team as she fired a point-blank wrist-shot by the glove of Sandra Abstreiter. Rahel Enzler (2) and Ally Johnson (4) picked up the assists.

FOURTH GOAL (3-1 Maine): The eventually game-winning goal would come off of the stick of Mira Seregély. Her first collegiate goal would come with 1:30 left in the second as she fired a wrist-shot through the five-hole of Abstreiter. Olivia King (1) and Taylor Leech (2) picked up the assists.

FIFTH GOAL (3-2 Maine): The Friars would show some late fight as with just 26 seconds left in the third, Lindsay Bochna would net her sixth goal of the season to shrink the deficit. Claire Tyo (5) and Hayley Lunny (5) picked up the assists.

Loryn Porter would wrap up the teams fourth win in a row with a 41 save outing in the victory.

Maine (6-8-1, 4-5-1 HE) has Clarkson next in a non-conference weekend doubleheader on Nov. 26 and 27.
