PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Senior Hunter Barnett tallied a multi-goal game to propel Providence College women's hockey over the No. 7 Boston College Eagles, 2-1, on Friday, Nov. 12 in Schneider Arena. Providence improved to 4-3-3 this season, including a 3-2-2 mark in the Hockey East.

GAME FLOW & NOTES

- Both teams skated through the opening twenty scoreless and entered the first intermission 0-0, with Providence outshooting the Eagles, 19-15.

- Boston College got on the board first, tallying a goal 9:18 into the second period. Gaby Roy put the shot on net that gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead.

- Providence responded with 2:14 remaining in the second frame with a goal from Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario) to tie things up, 1-1, before entering the second intermission. Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and Caroline Peterson (East Falmouth, Mass.) earned the assists on Barnett's first goal of the season.

- Barnett netted the game-winner, and her second goal of the night, with 4:20 remaining in regulation. Barnett created a turnover and Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) dished it back on the 2-on-1 to make it a 2-1 game. The assist served as Clark's first career point as a Friar.

- Despite the Eagles outshooting the Friars 13-5 in the final period, the Friars closed out the game at 2-1.

- Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) posted 42 saves in the victory, a career high, making multiple game-saving stops down the stretch.
