CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Becca Gilmore scored a pair of goals to lift No. 9 Harvard past No. 7 Boston College 5-2 in non-conference action on Tuesday night at the Bright Landry Hockey Center.

The Eagles dropped to 6-3-0 (4-2-0 HEA), while the Crimson improved to 5-2-0 (3-2-0 ECAC).

Abby Newhook scored her fifth goal of the season and posted an assist for a multi-point night. Gaby Roy collected a pair of assists for BC.

Harvard took the lead with just 1.5 seconds left in the first period on a deflected point shot from Anne Bloomer.

The Eagles answered at the 4:19 mark of the second period when Newhook chipped home a rebound to follow a Deirdre Mullowney point shot, capping off a lengthy offensive shift in the Crimson zone.

Harvard netted the next two goals on a right wing wrist shot from Maryna MacDonald at 7:36 and a Gilmore rebound at 16:37, but this time BC beat the buzzer before intermission. With 1.2 seconds on the clock, Alexie Guay's left point shot found its way through traffic inside the right post to pull the Eagles within one.

Gilmore added her second of the night on the power play 12 minutes into the third period on a back door one-timer to make it a 4-2 game. Dominique Petrie capped off the scoring at 16:11 for the Crimson.

Boston College faces Providence in a home-and-home series this weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
