How It Happened

- In an evenly contested opening period, Merrimack earned the edge late in the first. As a power play expired, the Warriors continued to garner offensive zone pressure. Teghan Inglis remained patient along the blue line, managing a pass from Dominika Laskova along the boards. Inglis, with space, protected the puck against a passing defender before pulling back a hard shot for the defender's fourth goal of the year.

- Katie Kaufman continued her offensively dominant weekend on the Warriors' power play to start the second period. The junior brought the puck in down low, angling against the Black Bears' defensive pressure and goaltender behind the net. Kaufman continued with possession behind the net, keeping the puck before cutting back in across the faceoff circle where she used the defense as a screen to fire in her third goal of the weekend.

- Merrimack's defense matched its offensive efforts, with Maine earning a game-high eight shots on goal that were managed by Emma Gorski. With consistent presence in shooting lanes, the Warriors turned 11 blocked shots on the night.
