Six League Teams Earn Bids Into NCAA Tournament

Boston University ended its season in the national title game, falling to Western Michigan, 6-2. The Terriers advanced past Penn State, 3-1, in the semifinals.

Cole Eiserman scored a goal in each game for the Terriers, Eiserma and is the 10th NCAA rookie (and third Terrier rookie) since 2005-06 to score 25 goals. He was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts.

On Friday night, Hockey East took home a slew of national awards during its historic 2024-25 season. Boston College’s Jacob Fowler became the eighth Hockey East netminder to win the Mike Richter Award as the nation’s best goalie in the 12-year history of the award. BU’s Cole Hutson was named National Rookie of the Year and earned the Tim Taylor Award. The league also claimed eight of the 12 eastern All-Americans, including Fowler, Hutson, Ryan Leonard, and Cole O'Hara on the first team and Albin Boija, Eamon Powell, Joey Muldowney, and Gabe Perreault on the second team.

Hockey East was represented in each regional final, winning one and falling short by a combined four goals including an empty net score in the other three.
