HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
With UConn’s victory over Alaska Anchorage last Wednesday, Hockey East set an all-time record with a .715 winning percentage in non-conference play, topping the previous record of .705 set in 2002-03. League teams posted a 75-29-3 mark against other conferences, and a winning record against four of the other five groups.
Boston College and Maine sit tied atop the Army ROTC Hockey East regular season standings after a split weekend for the Eagles with UMass and a five-point weekend for the Black Bears. With five games remaining for most teams, BC and Maine sit poised to battle for the regular season crown. Greg Brown’s Eagles look to repeat for the first time since they took three straight from 2015-18 while Ben Barr looks to lead the Black Bears to their first title since 1994-95.
A pair of Boston-based rookie netminders both earned their first career shutouts and points as BU’s Mikhail Yegorov kicked out 30 shots in a 3-0 win with an assist on BU’s second goal against No. 7 Providence and Northeastern’s Quentin Sigurdson stopped all 34 shots he faced and set up the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over No. 13 UMass Lowell.

HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Albin Boija - Maine
Albin Boija (So., G; Sundsval, Sweden) went 1-0-1 on the week, the
only Hockey East goaltender to start two game and not take a loss
last weekend. He had a .938 save percentage and 1.45 goals against
average in pushing Maine to its third seven-game unbeaten streak of
the year.
PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Mikhail Yegorov - Boston University
Mikhail Yegorov (Fr., G; St. Petersburg, Russia), the 2025 Eberly Award
winner, posted a .947 save percentage across three games against top-10
teams. He began the week by making a career-high 43 saves on 44 shots in
a 4-1 win over No. 1 Boston College in the Beanpot final. He then stopped
all 30 shots he faced, including 16 in the third period, to record his first NCAA
shutout in a 3-0 win over No. 7 Providence. He also recorded his first point
with an assist on the Terriers’ second goal in Saturday’s win. Only one other
player in the country made more saves this week than Yegorov, and nobody
made more stops against top-10 teams than Yegorov.
HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE WEEK

Michael Hrabal - Massachusetts
Michael Hrabal (So., G; Prague, Czechia) made 78 saves on 83
shots in a split weekend with No. 1 Boston College, including a 37-save road win and 41 stops in a 4-1 setback. He allowed just three
five-on-five goals in the series and made at least 15 saves in three of
the six periods he played.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Quentin Sigurdson - Northeastern
Quentin Sigurdson (Fr., G; Sartell, Minn.) made his first career start
on Friday and recorded his first career shutout in a 2-0 win to upset
No. 13 UMass Lowell. In the victory, he totaled 34 saves and recorded
his first collegiate point with an assist on the game-winning goal. He
finished the weekend with 57 saves for a .966 save percentage.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Ryan Leonard, BC (So., F; Amherst, Mass.) Finished the week with two goals and three assists across three games for BC, capped off by a three-point performance on one goal and two assists in the 41 victory at No. 16 UMass. He is currently on a 10-game point streak with 12 goals and seven assists in that span.
Quinn Hutson, BU (Fr., D; North Barrington, Ill.) Had three points in two games against No. 7 Providence. He scored his 50th goal for his 100th career point in Saturday’s 3-0 win.
Sascha Boumedienne, BU (Fr., D; Stockholm, Sweden) Scored his first NCAA goal on Saturday in the Terriers’ 3-0 win over Providence and also recorded an assist after an open-ice hit gave the Terriers an opportunity in transition.
Nick Pierre, MC (Fr., F; Cottage Grove, Minn.) Had two goals and two assists in a split weekend against Vermont, including a three-point game (1g, 2a) in a 4-3 win on Saturday.
Seamus Powell, MC (So., D; Marcellus, N.Y.) Dished out two helpers in a 4-3 win over Vermont on Saturday.
Max Lundgren, MC (So., G; Angelholm, Sweden) Made 61 saves on 67 shots in a split weekend with Vermont.
Josh Nadeau, Maine (Fr., F; St-François-de-Madawaska, N.B.) Had a four-point game with one goal and three assists in Maine’s 5-2 win over UNH on Saturday, with all four points coming in the third period. He assisted on the game-tying goal and had the primary assist on the game-winning goal. He scored a short-handed, unassisted goal immediately after exiting the penalty box and had four shots on net, one blocked shot, and led the league with a plus-five rating.
Brandon Holt, Maine (Jr., D; Grand Forks, N.D.) Scored a goal, blocked six shots, and recorded seven shots on goal in Maine’s 1-0-1 weekend against New Hampshire.
Cole O’Hara, UMass (Jr., F; ) Extended his point streak to eight games (8g, 7a) with two goals in a split week- end with No. 1 Boston College.
Pierson Brandon, UML (Gr., D; Irvington, N.Y.) Scored an unassisted game-winner against Northeastern on Saturday and totaled six shots on goal, two blocks and a plus-one rating in a split weekend.
Lee Parks, UML (Fr., F; Ottawa, Ont.) Netted the first goal against Northeastern on Saturday to help UMass Lowell to a 3-1 victory and had six shots on goal on the weekend.
Henry Welsch, UML (Gr., G; Lakeville, Minn.) Finished a home-and-home series with Northeastern with a 1-1-0 record, allowing three total goals and making 51 saves. He totaled a 1.54 GAA and .944 save percentage on the weekend and moved to 10-5-1 on the year.
Joe Connor, NU (Fr., F; Nottingham, N.H.) Recorded two goals en route to a 2-0 shutout win over No. 13 UMass Lowell on Friday night, scoring the a game-winner and a penalty shot goal. He put seven shots on net and had two blocks. The rookie now has eight points in his last eight games.
Alexander Bales, PC (Fr., D; East Amherst, N.Y.) Registered a career-high four points in Providence’s 6-3 win over Boston University on Friday. He tallied the game-winning goal and added three assists in the win.
