HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
Hockey East claims seven of the top 13 teams in the most recent Pairwise rankings, with all 11 programs within the top 27. Three of the top five Pairwise teams hail from Hockey East with Boston College, Providence, and Maine firmly in line for NCAA Tournament bids, while Boston University and UMass Lowell join them in the top 10. UConn is tied for 11th and UNH sits 13th.
UConn completed a sweep of No. 17 New Hampshire to take the Wildcats’ spot in Monday’s USCHO.com poll. Captain Hudson Schandor racked up five points on two goals and three assists to power the Huskies’ offense into a tie for third place in the Army ROTC Hockey East Standings. Merrimack earned a weekend split with No. 2 Boston College, toppling the
Eagles, 5-2, at Conte Forum on Friday. Freshman Nick Pierre had two assists in the win and scored his first collegiate goal the next night at home in a 4-1 setback.
Michael Hrabal stopped 77 shots as UMass and Northeastern traded shutouts over the weekend. The sophomore WJC bronze-medalist made 41 stops in a 5-0 win on Friday for the Minutemen before turning aside 36 of 38 the next night.
No. 7 Maine swept No. 8 UMass Lowell on the road last weekend back boned by 53 saves on 55 shots from Albin Boija. Harrison Scott contributed two goals and one assist, including a game-winning goal.
No. 11 Boston University exploded for 13 goals in a sweep of Vermont, including five points from Quinn Hutson and the first-ever
collegiate hat trick from Cole Eiserman.

Hudson Schandor - UConn
Quinn Hutson (Jr., F; North Barrington, Ill.) had a five-point weekend in the Terriers’ sweep of Vermont, scoring three goals and assisting on two others. He was a plus-four and had two goals, including the game-winning goal, in Friday’s victory. Hutson is on a four-game goal streak, notching six goals in that span. He’s also added four assists for 10 total points over the last four games. Hutson leads Hockey East with 1.35 points per game, a number that’s fourth in the NCAA.
Hudson Schandor (Gr., F; North Vancouver, B.C.) helped UConn sweep
No. 17 New Hampshire with two goals
and three assists for five points. In addition, Schandor surpassed the 100
career point mark and finished the
weekend with 103 career points with
the Huskies.

Nick Pierre (Fr., F; Cottage Grove, Minn.) had two assists in Merrimack’s 5-2 win over No. 2 Boston College on Friday before scoring
his first collegiate goal the next night at home against the Eagles.

Michael Hrabal - Massachusetts
Michael Hrabal (So., G; Prague, Czechia) posted a 1.02 GAA and a
.975 save percentage over 117:05 minutes in net in a 1-1-0 weekend
against Northeastern, making 77 saves and posting his second shutout of the season. In his first game back from earning bronze at the
World Junior Championship, he stopped all 41 shots he faced in a 5-0
win at Northeastern and then turned aside 36 of the 38 shots he faced
on Saturday against the Huskies.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Albin Boija - Maine
Albin Boija (So., G; Sundsvall, Sweden) went 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals
against average and .962 save percentage for Maine’s first top-10
road sweep since January 2020 at No. 8 UMass Lowell. He had 53
saves on the weekend, including 15 in the third period on Saturday to
preserve a 2-1 win.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Brady Berard, BC (Jr., F; East Greenwich, R.I.) Scored in both games of a split weekend with Merrimack for the Eagles, including a shorthanded goal on Friday evening.
Teddy Stiga, BC (Fr., F; Sudbury, Mass.) In his return from Team USA duty, scored one goal and added an assist in a split weekend against Merrimack.
Aram Minnetian, BC (So., D; Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) Had an assist on both BC goals in Friday’s setback to Merrimack.
Cole Eiserman, BU (Fr., F; Newburyport, Mass.) Posted a career-high four points thanks to his first collegiate hat trick on Saturday against Vermont. Eiserman notched the eventual game-winner and finished the weekend as a plus-three.
Cole Hutson, BU (Fr., D; North Barrington, Ill.) Totaled three assists on the weekend, was a plus-four and led BU with four blocked shots in a sweep of Vermont. Two of Hutson’s assists came in Saturday’s win, which extended his point streak to three games (2g, 5a).
Mathieu Caron, BU (Sr., G; Abbotsford, B.C.) Made 53 saves and helped BU go 6-for-6 on the penalty kill in this past weekend’s sweep of Vermont. On Friday, he made 27 saves, including two breakaway stops, in a 6-1 triumph.
Tyler Muszelik, UConn (Jr., G; Long Valley, N.J.) Kicked out 27 saves while allowing just one goal to defeat #17 New Hampshire Friday evening.
Harrison Scott, Maine (Sr., F; San Jose, Calif.) Had two goals and one assist for three points in Maine’s 2-0-0 weekend, including a game-winning goal and a two-goal game in Friday’s 3-1 win. He also recorded 18 face-off wins and six shots on goal and a plus-three rating.
David Breazeale, Maine (Sr., D; Jenison, Mich.) Scored a goal and tied for the league lead in blocked shots with five while also had two shots on goal and a plus-two rating in Maine’s 2-0-0 weekend at No. 8 UMass Lowell.
Ivan Zivlak, MC (Sr., D; Grislaved, Sweden) Set up the game-winning goal in Friday’s 5-2 win at No. 2 Boston College and added a late insurance goal in the third for the Warriors.
Nils Wallstrom, MC (So., G; Skelleftea, Sweden) Made 27 saves on 29 shots in a 5-2 win at No. 2 Boston College.
Robert Cronin, UNH (Sr., F; Plymouth, Mass.) Posted two goals and one assist for three points against UConn in a home-and-home series. He netted UNH’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss on Friday, while he recorded one goal and one assist for two points at UConn in the 3-2 loss on Saturday.
Zachary Borgiel, PC (Gr., G; Fort Gratiot, Mich.) Stopped all 29 shots he faced in a 2-0 Mayor’s Cup victory on the road at Brown on Tuesday. The shutout was his second of the season and fourth of his career. Borgiel improved to 4-1-1 with a 2.17 GAA and .930 save percentage with the Friars this season.
