HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Ryan Leonard - Boston College
(So., F; Amherst, Mass.)

While playing the hardest schedule in the NCAA, Ryan Leonard led the country in goals (8), game-winning goals (4), and shots on net (52), while powering the Eagles to a 7-2-0 record. His 13 points were second in the nation and he was third with a plus-nine rating. No player in Hockey East had more goals, points, or game-winning goals.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

James Hagens - Boston College
(Fr., F; Hauppauge, N.Y.)

No player in the country had more assists than James Hagens, who dished out nine helpers in nine games in November, aiding the Eagles to a 7-2-0 record against the top teams in the NCAA. He set up five of BC’s nine game-winning goals and had multi-point outings in five appearances and points in six. He led all national rookies in points (11), assists (9), plus/minus (+9), and was second in shots on net (30).

HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE MONTH

Frank Djurasevic - Maine
(So., D; New Rochelle, N.Y.)

Djurasevic helped anchor a Black Bears’ defense than held opponents to just nine goals against in eight games played. He three goals and two assists to go with a plus-four rating in November and led league defenders with his three tallies. He scored one power-play goal and one short-handed goal and wrapped the month with five points in his final four games.

STOP IT GOALTENDING GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Jacob Fowler - Boston College
(So., G; Melbourne, Fla.)

Jacob Fowler backboned Boston College to a 7-2-0 record in December, earning a 6-1-0 mark of his own while posting two shutouts. He posted the most wins of any NCAA goaltender and his 1.76 GAA and .936 save percentage were both second in Hockey East. His perfect games came against top-five Maine and Northeastern and he anchored a BC penalty kill that did not allow a single goal.
