HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
No. 9 BU collected five of six points from No. 19 Massachusetts, powered by five points (3g, 2a) from Macklin Celebrini. The rookie forward had two third-period strikes on Saturday to force overtime and currently leads the NCAA with eight goals.
New Hampshire earned a pair of wins, including a 4-1 victory over No. 17 Northeastern on Thursday, to improve to 4-1-0 on the year. Junior goaltender Jakob Hellsten went 2-0-0 on the week in Wildcat debut, allowing only two goals and making 39 saves.
UMass Lowell and UConn split a home-and-home series to open their Hockey East slates. Andrew Lucas powered Friday’s comeback, dishing out an assist on the game-tying goal with 1:15 left in the third period before scoring the OT winner. The next night, Henry Welsch set a River Hawk record with a 46-save shutout in a 1-0 road win.
Maine split a weekend on the road at No. 5 Quinnipiac, as Brandon Chabrier scored the overtime winning goal in the Black Bears’ 2-1 victory on Friday.
Boston College swept No. 7 Michigan State, 6-4 and 5-1, off of four-point weekends by Oskar Jellvik (2g, 2a) and Gabe Perreault (4a). The Eagles are off to a 5-1-0 start, all in non-conference play, with four of those six games coming against ranked opponents.
Vermont earned two points on the road at No. 7 Providence, erasing a
one-goal deficit twice and taking a shootout victory. Simon Jellus scored
his second of the weekend to knot the game at one and was the lone shooter to convert on his shootout attempt to deliver the Catamounts the extra
point.

Macklin Celebrini (Fr., F; Vancouver, B.C.) led the Terriers with five points (3g, 2a) against No. 19 UMass, including two third-period goals in Saturday’s 3-3 tie. He also tallied one goal and added two assists in a 5-2 win over the Minutemen on Friday. Celebrini leads the country with eight goals and is first among all Hockey East skaters with 11 points.
Oskar Jellvik (So., F; Taby, Sweden) had four points in a two-game
sweep of No. 7 Michigan State
at Kelley Rink, including a pair of
goals in Thursday’s 6-4 victory for
his first career multi-goal game. He

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Gabe Perreault - Boston College
Gabe Perreault (Fr., F: Hindsale, Ill.) posted four points and was plus-two
in a two-game sweep of No. 7 Michigan State. He dished out two assists in
each win and all four were primary helpers. He extended his point streak to
four games (1g, 6a).

Brandon Chabrier - Maine
Brandon Chabrier (So., D; Bayville, N.Y.) scored the overtime winning goal
in Maine’s 2-1 victory at #5 Quinnipiac. He had five total shots on net in a
road weekend split and four blocked shots.
STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Henry Welsch - UMass Lowell
Henry Welsch (Sr., G; Lakeville, Minn.) played the best game of his career
on Saturday night at UConn. He made a career-best 46 saves and earned a
1-0 shutout, making several crucial saves to keep UConn off the board. The
46 saves are the most by a River Hawk in a shutout, beating out the former
record holder, Connor Hellebuyck, who had 40 in a 1-0 win against Notre
Dame in 2013

Cutter Gauthier, BC (So., F; Scottsdale, Ariz.) Scored three times in a two-game sweep of No. 7 Michigan State with 10 shots on goal and a plus-three rating.
Jack Malone, BC (Gr., F; Spring Lake, N.J.) Netted a pair of third period goals on Friday in a 5-1 victory over No. 7 Michigan State to help sweep the series
Jeremy Wilmer, BU (So., F; Rockville Centre, N.Y.) Paced BU with four assists this past weekend against UMass, including three assists in Friday’s 5-2 win. Wilmer also had the primary assist on one of Macklin Celebrini’s two third-period goals on Saturday. Wilmer leads Hockey East with eight assists this season.
Lane Hutson, BU (So., D; North Barrington, Ill.) Totaled three points on one goal and two assists in Friday’s 5-2 win at UMass and generated a team-high 11 shots on goal across the two games.
Mathieu Caron, BU (Jr., G; Abbortsford, B.C.) Helped the Terriers clinch five of six points against UMass. He made 18 saves and was part of a Terrier penalty kill that held UMass to an 0-for-4 mark on the power play in Friday’s 5-2 win. Caron made a season-high 38 saves on Saturday and two clutch stops in the shootout to help BU earn a 3-3 tie and claim an extra point in the Hockey East standings.
Andrew Lucas, UConn (Sr., D; Alexandria, Va.) Scored the game-winning goal in overtime and pitched in an assist on the game-tying struke against UMass Lowell Friday night.
Arsenii Sergeev, UConn (So., G; Yaroslavl, Russia) Made 28 saves while allowing one goal in an overtime win over UMass Lowell Friday night.
Donavan Villeneuve-Houle, Maine (Sr., F; Montreal, Que.) Had one goal and one assist in Maine’s 2-1 win at #5 Quinnipiac and finished the weekend with four shots on goal.
Victor Ostman, Maine (Sr., G; Danderyd, Sweden) Went 1-1-0, backstopping Maine to a 2-1 overtime win at #5 Quinnipiac. He had 43 saves on the weekend.
Owen Cole, UML (Jr., F; Dunnville, Ont.) Scored the lone goal on Saturday, helping the River Hawks to a 1-0 victory over UConn. Mitchell Becker, UML (So., D; Rogers, Minn.) Potted the first goal of the game in a 2-1 OT loss to UConn on Friday, his first of the season.
Michael Citara, MC (Jr., F; New Hope, Pa.) Found the back of the net twice in a 4-1 win over No. 17 Northeastern on Saturday.

Stiven Sardarian, UNH (So., F; St. Petersburg, Russia) Scored two goals as the Wildcats defeated No. 17 Northeastern, 4-1, on Oct. 26. He scored the game winner at 5:29 of the third period and gave UNH a 3-1 lead at 7:50.
Nick Ring, UNH (Fr., F; Abington, Mass.) Posted one goal and one assist for two points as the Wildcats went 2-0-0 on the week. He recorded his first collegiate point with an assist on the game winner in the 4-1 win over No. 17 Northeastern, while he scored his first collegiate goal in the 3-1 win against Dartmouth when he netted the first goal of the game.
Colton Huard, UNH (Jr., D; Foothill Ranch, Calif.) Tallied one goal and one assist for two points as he was a member of a defense that only allowed two goals on the week. He posted an assist on the game winner in the 4-1 win versus No. 17 Northeastern, while he netted the game winner in the 3-1 win against Dartmouth with a power play goal.
Jakob Hellsten, UNH (Jr., G; Ljusdal, Sweden) Went 2-0-0 on the week in his first two games as a Wildcat. He only allowed two goals and made 39 saves for a 1.00 goals against average and .951 save percentage. Hellsten made 15 saves and allowed one goal for a .938 save percentage in Friday’s 4-1 win over No. 17 Northeastern, while he posted 24 saves and allowed one goal for a .960 save percentage in the 3-1 win against Dartmouth.
Philip Svedeback, PC (So., G; Vaxjo, Sweden) Posted a 1-0-1 record with a 1.44 GAA and .939 save percentage over the weekend, including a 33-save performance on Saturday night against Vermont.
