#8 Providence vs. Boston College

- #8 Providence plays host to Boston College to close out their three game regular season Hockey East series on Thursday night. The Eagles hold the advantage after defeating the Friars, 4-2 and 4-1, in their first two meetings.

- The Friars head into the weekend after going 1-0-1 in the final week of February. They defeated Northeastern on the road, 5-2, last Tuesday, before playing to a 1-1 overtime draw against Boston University at home on Thursday.

- Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was tabbed Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week after dishing out two assists against the Huskies and netting the game-tying goal just over half way through the third period against the Terriers to force the extra frame.

- Boston College hits the road for their last game of the regular season after a weekend split in a home-and-home series with #9 Northeastern. They defeated the Huskies, 3-1, on Friday, before falling, 4-2, on Saturday.

- Junior forward David Cotton (Parker, Texas) netted a goal in each game, pushing his season total to 20, first among all Hockey East skaters. Cotton extended his goal streak to three games in a row and has found the back of the net in five of the Eagles' last seven games.


#9 Northeastern vs. New Hampshire

- Northeastern welcomes New Hampshire on Friday night for each team's final game of the regular season. The Huskies and Wildcats have faced off twice this season, with Jim Madigan's squad skating to a 6-3 victory in their first meeting, followed by a 6-0 Huskies' shutout in their second.

- The Huskies enter this weekend after going 1-1-0 in a home and home series with Boston College and are positioned to finish anywhere from second to fifth in the final Army ROTC Hockey East Standings.

- NU rookie Jordan Harris (Haverhill, Mass.) dished out two assists in Saturday's victory, including assisting on the game-winning goal.

- New Hampshire is back on the road for its final game of the season after taking three of four points from then-#14 UMass Lowell to close out a three-game regular season Hockey East series. The Wildcats shutout the River Hawks, 1-0, on Friday, before skating to a 2-2 overtime draw on Saturday. UNH ended the year-long series with a 1-0-2 record.

- Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) turned away 48 shots on the weekend, including 29 on Friday to earn his fifth blank sheet of the year.


UConn vs. #2 Massachusetts

- UConn faces off against regular season champion Massachusetts for the third and final time in regular season action on home ice Friday night. The Huskies are looking for their first win of the year against the Minutemen after falling, 7-4 and 3-0, in their first two meetings of the year.

- The Huskies are back on home ice for their third straight game after posting 1-1-0 record in their last two. They fell to #8 Providence, 5-2, on Tuesday, before closing out their three-game series with Vermont with a 5-1 victory on Friday.

- Rookie Jonny Evans (North Delta, B.C.) netted three goals across the two outings, with a pair of tallies coming in Friday's victory over the Catamounts.

- UMass is fresh off claiming the first-ever Hockey East regular season title in program history last Thursday night. The Minutemen defeated Merrimack, 4-2, on the road to claim the crown and the top seed in the Hockey East Tournament, before going on to shutout Maine, 6-0, on Saturday.

- Cale Makar (Calgary, Alta.) earned Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week honors after netting two goals and dishing out two assists through the his team's two outings. The sophomore defenseman set a new program single-season record for assists by a defenseman (27) and currently leads all Minutemen skaters with 40 points (13g, 27a) on the year.


Vermont vs. #16 UMass Lowell

- Vermont welcomes #16 UMass Lowell to Gutterson Fieldhouse to wrap up their three-game regular season series. The Catamounts visited the River Hawks for two tilts back in January, dropping a 6-5 decision before being shut out, 2-0.

- The Catamounts are back on home ice for the final time this season after visiting UConn for their only game last weekend. They fell to the Huskies, 5-1, closing out their regular season series with a 1-2-0 record.

- UMass Lowell aims to right the ship after giving up three points in a home-and-home series with New Hampshire. The River Hawks were shutout by the Wildcats, 1-0, on the road Friday, before playing to a 2-2 overtime draw at home on Saturday.

- The River Hawks goaltenders combined for 54 saves on the weekend, with Christoffer Hernberg (Espoo, Finland) turning away 21 of 22 shots on Friday and Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) stopping 30 of 32 on Saturday.


Maine vs. Boston University

- Maine plays host to Boston University for one game on Saturday night for their first meeting at Alfond Arena since November 2017. The two teams have already faced off twice this season, with the Terriers taking game one, 3-2, and the Black Bears taking game two, 3-1.

- The Black Bears will look to close out the season with a victory after having their five-game unbeaten streak snapped over the weekend. They were shut out, 6-0, on the road at UMass in their only game of the weekend,

- Boston University hits the road after going 1-0-1 in their last two to push their unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1). They played #8 Providence to a 1-1 overtime draw on the road Thursday, before downing Merrimack, 5-1, on home ice Saturday.

- Chad Krys (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Dante Fabbro (New Westminster, B.C.) were named Hockey East Co-Players of the Week for their efforts over the weekend. Krys notched two goals and three assists against the Warriors on Saturday, becoming the first Terrier defenseman to complete the feat since 1971. Krys' defensive partner, Fabbro, also posted a five point (1g, 4a) game in that outing.
