#2 UMass at Merrimack, vs. Maine

- Massachusetts has a chance to outright claim the first Hockey East regular season title in program history with a win at Merrimack on Thursday night.

- The Minutemen are back in action after going 1-1-0 in their last two. They shutout UConn, 3-0, on Friday, before being upset by Providence on Saturday, 3-2

- Maine looks to keep the momentum going after taking the last two games of their regular season series with Boston College to sweep the Eagles 3-0-0. They won each game by a score of 2-1, which included an overtime victory on Saturday.

- Jeremy Swayman (Anchorage, Alaska) was named Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of Week after kicking out 67 of 69 shots faced on the weekend.

- Maine's Mitchell Fossier (Alpharetta, Ga.) ranks tied for third nationally in assists (27). His sixth goal of February gave the Black Bears an OT win over Boston College Saturday and stretched their unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1).

- Merrimack plays host to UMass before visiting Boston University to close out the season under first-year head coach Scott Borek. The Warriors fell to the Minutemen in their first two meetings of the season and hold a 1-1-0 record against the Terriers heading into Saturday night.

- Merrimack rookie Chase Gresock (Powell, Ohio) recorded four points (2g, 2a) last weekend. The rookie scored twice on Saturday, including netting the game-tying goal with under a minute to go in regulation to force the extra frame, for the first multi-goal game of his career.


Boston University at #8 Providence, vs. Merrimack

- Providence plays host to Boston University on Thursday night to close out their three-game regular season Hockey East series. The two teams are locked in a stalemate through their first two meetings, making the rubber match a key contest for potential playoff tie-breaking scenarios.

- The Friars aim to push their winning streak to five games after defeating UMass and UConn over the weekend. Providence has gone 5-1-1 in its last seven outings.

- With at least a tie, Providence can secure home ice in the Hockey East Quarterfinals.

- Josh Wilkins (Raleigh, N.C.) recorded four goals in two contests last week, including netting a hat trick against UConn in a 5-2 win on Tuesday (Feb. 26.)

- Boston University returns from a two-game, four-point road trip to Burlington, Vermont. Chad Krys (Ridgefield, Conn.) scored the only goal on Friday night to give the Terriers a 1-0 overtime victory, before the team skated to a 2-1 win on Saturday.

- Jake Oettinger (Lakeville, Minn.) was tabbed Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week after turning away 48 of 49 shots faced through the two games. His 29 saves on Friday were good for his third blank sheet of the year.


Boston College vs. #9 Northeastern (home and home)

- Boston College and Northeastern face off in a home-and-home series for their first Hockey East match ups of the year. The two teams have already met once this season in the Beanpot Championship game when the Huskies skated past the Eagles, 4-2, to earn their second straight Beanpot title.

- The Eagles hope to put a stop to a six-game slide after dropping both games on a road trip to Maine. They fell to the Black Bears, 2-1, in each game, with Saturday's loss coming in an overtime period.

- Northeastern returns Boston after kicking off a three-game regular season series at New Hampshire over the weekend. They defeated the Wildcats, 6-3, on Friday, before shutting out the home team, 6-0, on Saturday.

- Liam Pecararo (Canton, Mass.) led all NCAA players over the weekend with seven points (3g, 4a) through the two contests. He had a career-high night on Friday, netting a hat trick and adding an assist, before going on to dish out three helpers on Saturday. The senior earned Hockey East Player of the Week honors for his efforts.


New Hampshire vs. #14 UMass Lowell (home and home)

- New Hampshire and UMass Lowell face off in a home-and-home set to close out their regular season series in Hockey East action. The two teams have already met once this year, playing to a 2-2 overtime draw on November 9.

- The Wildcats look to right the ship, going 1-4-0 in their last five, after stringing together an 8-1-3 mark previously.

- Brendan van Riemsdyk (Middletown, N.J.) put up three points in Friday's loss to Northeastern, netting two goals and dishing out one assist.

- UMass Lowell enters the weekend after taking three points in a home-and-home series with Merrimack. They skated past the Warriors, 6-3, on Friday, before playing to a 3-3 overtime draw on Saturday.

- Freshman Chase Blackmun (Hudson, Wis.) posted a career-high three point game Friday on one goal and two assists, before going on to find the back of the net again in Saturday's draw. He earned Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors for his play.


UConn vs. Vermont

- UConn plays host to Vermont in each team's only game of the weekend to close out their regular season Hockey East series. The first two meetings between the two programs have each been decided by one goal, with UConn earning a 1-0 shutout victory and Vermont a 2-1 overtime win on Nov. 2-3 in Vermont.

- The Huskies enter the weekend after falling to two top-10 ranked opponents. They were shut out by the then-#3 Minutemen, 3-0, on Thursday, before falling to the then-#10 Friars, 5-2, on Tuesday.

- The Catamounts try to find the win column again after giving up four points in a two-game home stand to Boston University. They dropped a 1-0 overtime decision on Friday, before coming up short in a 2-1 loss on Saturday.

- Goaltender Stefanos Lekkas (Elburn, Ill.) put up 67 saves on the weekend, including 43 in Friday's 1-0 overtime loss.
