HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Jesse Compher - Boston University
Sophomore Forward; Northbrook, Illinois

Compher led the entire nation in points (11) and assists (8) during December, adding three goals as well. She was second in the nation in both points per game and assists per game. Her best game came when she had a goal and a career-best four assists en route to a career-high five points at RIT on Dec. 8. Compher had a point in a nation-best four games during December and led the country with three multi-point contests.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Sini Karjalainen - Vermont
Defenseman; Posio, Finland

Karjalainen lead all league rookies with four points and four assists in just three games in the month of December, helping the Catamounts go 2-1-0 to end 2018. Her 1.33 assists per game and 1.33 points per game and two power- play assists also ranked first among all freshman skaters in Women's Hockey East. She posted a pair of assists in each of Vermont's two outings at Yale on December 7-8, setting and then matching her career single-game high for both points and assists.

HOCKEY EAST GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Corinne Schroeder - Boston University
Sophomore; Elm Creek Manitoba

Schroeder finished December with a 3-0-1 record, a 1.02 goals against average and a .964 save percentage, tops among all league goaltenders who started at least two games. She made 37 saves in an impressive 4-2 win over then-#4 Boston College to begin the month, and followed that performance by not allowing an even-strength goal in her final three starts of December. Of all Division I goalies who made at least two starts, she had the best save percentage and stopped all 22 shots she faced on Dec. 8 at RIT before being relieved after 50:36 of work in an eventual 8-0 victory for the Terriers.
