Providence, R.I. - The Boston College Eagles and the Providence Friars skated to a tie on Friday night. The Eagles walked with the shootout victory, earning the Hockey East extra point.

The two sides were deadlocked in the first period. Neither team could find the back of the net. In the second period, the Eagles were able to get on the board first. Molly Jordan slid one past the Friars 13 minutes into the period. Providence returned the goal with under a minute left in the period on a power play attempt.

In the third period, the Friars had a goal called off for offsides, leaving the game tied at one apiece with 12 minutes left to play. Neither side could break the tie, forcing the game to overtime. Neither side could capitalize during the extra five minutes, sending the game to a shootout to decide who gets the Hockey East extra point.

Kara Goulding sealed the shootout victory for the Eagles. Behind Goulding's goal, Grace Campbell was a perfect three for three in the shootout.
