Senior Catherine Foulem and junior Ani FitzGerald each scored their second goal of the weekend to give BU a 2-1 lead after the first period. After Martin broke the deadlock, the Terriers held on to the lead the rest of the way before graduate student Nadia Mattivi added a late empty-netter.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- After BU came within seconds of posting a shutout against Vermont on Friday, it was the Catamounts who struck first on Saturday.

- Two Terriers ran into each other while attempt to stop a UVM breakout and Natalie Mlynkova corralled the puck at her own blue line and took it down the ice before finding the back of the net on a shot from the right slot at 6:29 of the first.

- BU turned a deficit into a lead in a span of just 70 seconds late in the opening period.

- Junior Christina Vote set up the Terriers' first goal, taking a pass from senior Tamara Giaquinto before maneuvering around two Catamounts on the left side to allow her to spot Foulem wide open at the far post at 16:49.

- Moments later, the Terriers had a lead, as sophomore Sydney Healey placed a perfect pass for FitzGerald, who suddenly had four Catamounts chasing her as she skated in alone before sneaking a backhand past UVM netminder Jessie McPherson at the 17:59 mark.

- Vermont scored the only goal of the second period as what appeared to be an innocent clear to the neutral zone eluded the Terriers and ended up on the stick of Lara Beecher, who converted on a breakaway to make it 2-2 with 5:11 left in the middle frame.

- Martin gave BU the lead back for good just 1:01 into the third when she took a pass from sophomore Clara Yuhn off a rush and took a shot from the high slot that beat McPherson glove side, going off the post and in.

- Neither team took a penalty the rest of the way and Mattivi sealed the victory with a late empty-netter.
