HARTFORD, Conn. - The #7 University of Maine erased a two-goal deficit by scoring five goals in the third period to earn a 5-3 win over UConn on Friday night at the XL Center.

The Huskies took a 2-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest and held that margin through two periods of play. A Harrison Scott power-play goal 2:59 into the third period finally got the Black Bears on the board.

UConn went up 3-1 with 13:31 to play but Maine responded with four goals in the span of nine minutes. Brandon Holt scored a short-handed goal followed by strikes from Bradly Nadeau and Josh Nadeau before Holt sealed the comeback with an empty-netter.
