Mireille Kingsley (Sudbury, Ontario) finished the day with 23 saves. Kayla Kutes (Kirkland, Wa.) secured the extra point for the Friars with a goal in the 10th round of the shootout.

- The Terriers struck at the 10:27 mark of the first period when Catherine Foulem and Alex Law assisted Tamara Giaquinto to a goal.

- At 15:27, Nadia Mattiv scored with help from Law and Ani Fitzgerald to give the Terriers a 2-0 lead.

- Both teams were scoreless in overtime, ending regulation at a 3-3 tie.

- Providence won the shootout, 3-2, after 10 rounds for the extra point in Hockey East standings.
