Graduate goaltender Gwyneth Philips made 29 saves for the Huskies

GLOUCESTER, Mass.- Fifth year netminder Gwyneth Philips had a 29-save performance to lead the Northeastern women's hockey team to a 3-1 victory over the No. 14 Boston College Eagles on Saturday evening at the Dorothy Talbot Rink.

- Graduate student Peyton Anderson picked up where she left off against Boston College last season, with the game-opening goal, 2:44 into the contest to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Anderson's tally was assisted by freshmen Allie Lalonde and Rylie Jones.

- The Huskies held the Eagles off the board until the 8:58 mark of the second period, when Sidney Fess scored on a 5-on-3 power-play to tie the game at 1-1.

- Junior Taze Thompson scored the eventual game-winner in the third period at the 6:54 mark. Fifth year Katy Knoll and sophomore Kristina Allard claimed the assists.

- Junior Skylar Irving claimed the empty net goal to push the final score to 3-1 with 32 seconds remaining with assists from Knoll and Philips. Philips' assist marked her first collegiate point.

The Huskies will next face Providence on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
