FAIRFIELD, Conn.- Junior Skylar Irving factored into all four goals to lead the No. 10 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Sacred Heart in the third-place game at the Ice Breaker Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Irving's four-point (1 G, 3 A) performance marked a career-high and junior Taze Thompson posted the first multi-goal game of her career. Fifth year Katy Knoll posted a three assist for the Huskies to round out the multi-point scorers.

- The scoring started early for Northeastern with Thompson getting on the board just over three minutes into the game. Thompson's goal was assisted by Irving and sophomore Alyssa Antonakis.

- Thompson then doubled the lead to 2-0 at the 10:57 mark of the first period with assists from Irving and Knoll.

- After posting back-to-back primary assists on Thompson's goals, Irving got a goal of her with just nine seconds left in the first period to give the Huskies a 3-0 lead. Irving potted her goal right off a faceoff win from Knoll.

- In the second period, freshman Ella Blackmore scored her first career goal to make the score 4-0.

- Sacred Heart was able to get on the board in the third period to bring the final score to 4-1.

- Fifth year netminder Gwyneth Philips made 24 saves in her sixth win of the season.

Northeastern will return to Hockey East play for a home-and-home series against Holy Cross beginning on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
