DURHAM, N.H. - Freshman forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.) scored his first collegiate goal, but the Bobcats scored three late goals as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to No. 4 Quinnipiac, 5-2, Friday night in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.

The Wildcats fall to 1-1-0, while the Bobcats improve to 3-1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead at 11:41 of the first period as Collin Graf sent a shot glove side.

- The Wildcats tied up the game 1-1 at 2:30 of the second period when junior defenseman Luis Linder (Spittal an der Drau, Austria) sent shot toward net that was deflected by sophomore forward Stiven Sardarian (Saint Petersburg, Russia) through traffic and to the back of the net. Senior defenseman Nikolai Jenson (Cold Spring, Minn.) also recorded an assist on the goal.

- At 4:30 of the second period, UNH took a 2-1 lead as sophomore forward Cy Leclerc (Brentwood, N.H.) made a pass to junior forward Liam Devlin (Needham, Mass.) who skated down the ice alongside Conmy. Devlin then sent the puck to Conmy in front of the net as he buried it glove side.

- At 4:52 of the third period, the Bobcats tied the game 2-2 when Jayden Lee sent a wide pass to Andon Cerbone who then followed that with a pass to Travis Treloar in front of the net. Treloar found the back of the net stick side.

- The Bobcats claimed a 3-2 lead at 18:06 of the third period as Marcellus netted a goal stick side from the left circle. Cerbone recorded an assist on the goal.

- At 18:48 of the third period the Bobcats made it 4-2 as Quillan scored an empty net goal.

- At 19:29 of the third period, Pennington blasted a shot stick side for the 5-2 final.


INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- UNH outshot Quinnipiac, 34-26.

- The Wildcats went 0-2 on the power play, while the Bobcats went 0-1.

- Sophomore goaltender Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.) recorded 21 saves while Vinny Duplessis tallied 32.
