HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
UConn swept a weekend series over Merrimack powered by Player of the Week Jonny Evans (North Delta, B.C.), who had a six-point (4g, 2a) weekend. Evans scored four consecutive goals in Saturday’s 6-2 home win, becoming first Husky in the Division I era (1998-present) with four or more goals in a game.
Merrimack’s Liam Walsh (Bridgeville, Pa.) continued his consistent play with his second goal of the season Friday, as the Warriors fell by a 6-1 final to UConn at Lawler Rink. Saturday, standout blueliners Declan Carlile (Hartland, Mich.) and Zach Uens (Belleville, Ont.) struck on the power play, but Merrimack fell again to the Huskies.
Filip Lindberg (Espoo, Finland) recorded a pair of wins in a weekend sweep over #16 UMass Lowell, stopping 44 of 45 shots on the weekend for a .978 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average. Bobby Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.) factored in three of the five goals UMass scored in Friday’s 5-0 win. His second goal marked his 20th point of the season, giving him three straight seasons in a UMass uniform with 20 or more points.
Providence sophomore forward Patrick Moynihan (Millis, Mass.) racked
up three points (1g, 2a) as the Friars swept New Hampshire, 5-1 and 3-2.
Jaxson Stauber (Plymouth, Minn.) picked up two wins to improve to 7-3-4
on the year with 55 saves.

Hudson Schandor (North

sweep over Merrimack.
On Friday, the freshman
forward scored his fourth
goal of the season, the
game-winning strike, in
a 6-1 road win and on
Saturday picked-up a career-
high three assists in a
6-2 win.
