Boston College Head Coach Jerry York earned his 1,100th career victory Saturday night with a 4-2 win at UConn. York is the NCAA all-time winningest coach in his 49-year career behind the bench in the college ranks. Goaltender Spencer Knight (Darien, Conn.) stopped 76 of 81 shots he faced and improved to 8-0-1. The sophomore netminder is now riding an 18-game unbeaten streak (16-0-2) dating back to last season.
Boston University pushed its winning streak to five games with a pair of wins over Maine. David Farrance (Victor, N.Y.) racked up eight points (2g, 6a), highlighted by a pair of three-point performances, including the game-winning overtime goal and an assist in Monday’s victory against UMass and the game-winning goal in last Sunday’s victory over the Minutemen. Farrance has had a hand in four of the Terriers’ five game-winning goals, scoring two and setting up two others. In six games this season, he has tallied 14 points on four scores and 10 helpers.
Providence and Massachusetts engaged in two goaltender duels, skating to a 0-0 draw on Friday night before taking a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday. UMass’s Filip Lindberg (Espoo, Finland) posted a 0.46 goals against average and a .981 save percentage by stopping 52 of 53 shots against the Friars over 130 minutes of action.
Jaxson Stauber (Plymouth, Minn.) stopped 56-of-57 shots faced in two games over No. 8/8 Massachusetts this weekend for a 0.46 GAA and .982 save percentage as the two teams needed a shootout to decide a victor in both games.
Merrimack earned four of a possible six points against New Hampshire on the
weekend, led by the first multi-point game from sophomore Liam Walsh (Bridgeville,
Pa.) on Friday in a 5-2 win. Rookie Alex Jefferies (Lunenburg, Mass.)
maintained his team scoring lead when he tallied a pair of primary assists on the
weekend on goals, including Friday’s game-winning tally by Ben Brar.

he faced across those three
victories and added another
33 stops in a fourth victory
last Sunday. His 44 saves in a
4-3 overtime win over Massachusetts
on Jan. 18 were the
second most of any league
netminder this season.

Filip Lindberg (Espoo, Finland) posted a 0.46 goals against average and a .981 save percentage over two games against No. 18 Providence, both stalemates, by stopping 52 of 53 shots against the Friars over 130 minutes of action. The junior had 27 saves in a scoreless tie on Friday against Providence, his first start since Nov. 28, and registered his seventh career shutout. In Saturday’s 1-1 draw on the road at Providence, he stopped 25 of 26 shots and also turned aside all five shooters he faced in the shootout the Minutemen won by a 1-0 margin in the penalty shot tiebreaker.

Casey Carreau, BC (Jr., F; Acushnet, Mass.) Posted the first two multi-point performances of his career in a 1-0-1 weekend against UConn with a goal and an assist in each contest. He finished the weekend with nine shots on goal and a plus-3 rating, both tied for a team-high.
Harrison Roy, BC (Fr., F; Lakeville, Mass.) Scoring the opening goal in each game of a 1-0-1 weekend against UConn, his marker on Friday serving as the first collegiate tally. He finished time for the team-high with a plus-3 rating.
Spencer Knight, BC (So., G; Darien, Conn.) Stopped 76 of 81 shots he faced from UConn over the weekend, posting a .938 save percentage in a 1-0-1 weekend for the No. 1/1 Eagles. His 37 saves in Friday’s 3-3 draw and 39 stops in a 4-2 win on Saturday were the highest two totals of the season as Knight improved to 8-0-1. The sophomore netminder is now riding an 18-game unbeaten streak (16-0-2) dating back to last season.
Marc McLaughlin, BC (Jr., F; North Billerica, Mass.) Scored his NCAA-leading third shorthanded goal and tied the national lead with his fourth game-winning goal Saturday night at UConn.
Luke Tuch, BU (Fr., F: Baldwinsville, N.Y.) Earned a point in all three Boston University wins last week, scoring a goal and adding two assists to go along with four blocked shots in three contests.
Liam Walsh, MC (So., F; Bridgeville, Pa.) The sophomore had his first career multi-point game Friday in a 5-2 win against New Hampshire when he tallied a goal and two assists for a trio of points. He also finished with a +3 rating on the weekend.
Alex Jefferies, MC (Fr., F; Lunenburg, Mass.) Maintained his team scoring lead when he tallied a pair of primary assists on the weekend on goals, including Friday’s game-winning tally by Ben Brar. The rookie now has four goals and five assists for nine points.
Zach Vinnell, MC (So., D; Cochrane, Alta.) The rearguard scored his third goal of the season Friday and added an assist for a multi-point game against the Wildcats in Merrimack’s 5-2 win. He now leads all Warrior defensemen with seven points in 10 games.
