HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES

UMass Lowell earned three points in league play, tying Boston University, 3-3, before claiming a 3-2 overtime victory at #7 Providence. Senior netminder Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) made a league-best 73 saves on 78 shots, including a career-best 40 saves outing in the overtime win against the Friars.

#7 Providence's Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) led all Hockey East players with five points and four assists last weekend, helping the Friars go 1-1-0 in Hockey East contests. The sophomore forward currently leads the NCAA in scoring with 14 points and a nation-best 10 assists.

#11 Northeastern earned a hard-fought road split at #14 St. Cloud. Rookie forward TJ Walsh (Shrewsbury, Mass.) dished out two assists in Friday night's 4-1 road victory, while sophomore Tyler Madden (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) added a pair of second-period tallies.

New Hampshire topped Merrimack, 3-2 in overtime, in a Friday road trip to North Andover. Max Gildon (Plano, Texas) posted one goal and one assist for the Wildcats, and his 1.40 points per game is tied for first in the nation by defensemen.

Massachusetts's John Leonard (Amherst, Mass.) scored twice in the Minutemen's 4-1 triumph over American International on Friday, helping UMass move to 4-1-0 on the young season, including a perfect 4-0-0 at home. He also anchored an UMass penalty kill that went 7-for-7 on the night, including a full two minutes of 5-on-3. The Minutemen currently lead the nation at a perfect 26-for-26 on the penalty kill this season.

Jack Dugan - Providence

Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) led all Hockey East players with five points and four assists last weekend. Dugan scored and added two assists in a 6-2 win at #10 Boston College on Friday night and added two helpers against UMass Lowell in a 3-2 overtime loss on Saturday. The sophomore forward currently leads the NCAA in scoring with 14 points and a nation-best 10 assists.

TJ Walsh - Northeastern

TJ Walsh (Shrewsbury, Mass.) dished out two assists in Friday night's 4-1 road victory over #14 St. Cloud State, helping Northeastern extend its unbeaten streak to five games. The freshman earned his first career point with the secondary assist on John Picking's game-opening goal before setting up Tyler Madden's second goal of the night to push Northeastern's lead to 3-1.

Tyler Wall - UMass Lowell

Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) went 1-0-1 for the River Hawks in two league games, making a league-best 73 saves on 78 shots against Boston University and a #7 Providence. Wall posted a 2.32 goals against average and a .936 save percentage, including 33 saves in a 3-3 draw with the Terriers and tied his career-high with a 40-save outing in a 3-2 overtime win on the road against the Friars.


HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS

Logan Hutsko, BC (So., F; Tampa, Fla.) Netted his 20th career goal Friday night against #7 Providence, posting a team-high five shots on goal.

Patrick Harper, BU (Sr., F; New Canaan, Conn.) Factored in on all three goals in a 3-3 draw with UMass Lowell on Friday, finding the back of the net twice and adding an assist. He added an assist on the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over UNH on Saturday.

Robert Mastrosimone, BU (Fr., F; East Islip, N.Y.) Potted an insurance goal in the second period of the Terriers' 3-0 win over UNH.

Sam Tucker, BU (Gr., G; Wilton, Conn.) Stopped 57 of 60 shots across a 1-0-1 weekend for the Terriers, highlighted by a 32-save shutout in a 3-0 win over New Hampshire on Saturday to help BU earn three points in league play.

John Leonard, UMass (Jr., F; Amherst, Mass.) The junior blueliner set up the first goal of the game and then lifted the Wildcats to a 2-1 lead in the third period. Gildon's 1.40 points per game is tied for first in the nation by defensemen.

Tyler Madden, NU (So., F; Deerfield Beach, Fla.) Paced the Huskies in scoring in a weekend road trip to #14 St. Cloud, netting three goals in the two-game series. On Friday, Madden lifted Northeastern to victory with a pair of second-period tallies. He again found the back of the net on the power-play in Saturday's set back.

Craig Pantano, NU (Gr., G; Bridgewater, Mass.) Pantano kicked out 50 saves across a two-game series at #14 St. Cloud State. The graduate student allowed just one goal in Friday's 4-1 win, making 19 stops. He returned in game two with a 31-save performance in a 2-1 setback.
