Among all skaters, Davies tied for second in the nation, tied for first in Hockey East, and led all defensemen nationally with 12 points on three goals and nine assists in February. His offensive output including two power play goals, a game-winning goal, a plus-nine rating and 15 blocks. He had points in all but one of Northeastern's game in February, helping the Huskies to a 6-2-0 record, highlighted by the program's second straight Beanpot title. He also became the first Northeastern defenseman since Dan McGillis (1994-95, 1995-96) to record 30 points in back to back seasons.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH

Ruslan Iskhakov - UConn
Forward; Moscow, Russia

Freshman forward Ruslan Iskhakov tied for the league lead among all rookies with nine points in February, including three goals and six assists. His three power-play assists and three power-play points and one game-winning goal also led, or tied for the lead, among all conference first-year players. He helped UConn go 3-4-0 in the month, including overtime wins against then-#13 Northeastern and Boston University. Iskhakov's nine points and three power-play assists also tied for third among all national freshmen.

STOP IT GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH

Jeremy Swayman - Maine
Sophomore; Anchorage, Alaska

No goaltender in the NCAA saw more shots or made more saves in February than Maine's Jeremy Swayman, who kicked out 265 of the 280 shots he saw for the Black Bears. He backboned his squad to a 5-2-1 record, picking up .946 save percentage, good for fourth in the league and seventh nationally, and a 1.85 save percentage. Swayman had at least 30 saves in six of his eight outings and kicked out 41 on Feb. 2 at New Hampshire in a 5-3 victory.
