GAME RECAP

- Theresa Knutson lifted UConn into a 1-1 tie 36 seconds into the third period and struck again 85 seconds into overtime to send the Huskies home with a win and split of the weekend series at the Whittemore Center.

- Knutson ended the game when she collected Caitlin Hewes' outlet pass along the right boards and skated through the netural zone to the right point, where she wristed a high shot that sailed past Kyra Smith's glove into the upper-right corner of the net.

- UConn converted possession of a loose puck just outside its offensive zone into the game-tying goal early in the third period. Justine Fredette corralled the puck in the middle of the ice and charged toward the right circle. Her centering pass found Knutson cutting down the slot and she rifled a shot into the upper-right corner.

- Nicoline Jensen (Rodovre, Denmark) scored her third goal of the season to give UNH a 1-0 lead at 8:50 of the first period. Jenna Rheault (Deering, N.H.) chipped the puck into the offensive zone and Margo Lund (St. Paul, Minn.) backhanded a pass from the right point to Carlee Toews (Grand Prairie, Alberta). Toews sliced to the slot and lifted a shot that was knocked down by UConn goalie Elaine Chuli, but the rebound went toward the right doorstep and Jensen was in position to shovel the puck into the open side of the net.

- The ice was apparently tilted toward one side. UNH recorded the shot advantage in both the first (11-5) and third (15-8) periods and, when the teams changed ends, UConn tallied the shot advantage in both the second (9-3) and OT (3-1) periods.
